Mrs. Mau teacher the young 5’s class. She has 19 years of teaching experience, 4 of which have been at Immanuel. Rita has a BS in Elementary Education, with many hours of additional course work in Early Childhood Education.

Even as a young third grade girl, Rita remembers wanting to be a teacher. She loved school herself and wanted to instill the love of learning in others. She continues to teach in order to share God’s Word and His love with the children and their families. In addition, she wants children to see that learning is fun and desires to assist them in becoming life long learners.

Rita has two grown sons. Her husband is pastor in Des Plaines.
