Mrs. Vyhanek is a veteran early childhood care giver. She has taught or worked in Kindergarten through fourth grade and Extended School Care for 24 years and joined Immanuel staff in 2004. Carol has a BA in Elementary Education from Concordia, Chicago, and continues to take classes.

Carol has a joy for life and her life, becomes joyful when she is around children. “I love children,” says Mrs. Vyhanek, and it shows as the children hang on every word she says and love to give her hugs. Carol also enjoys teaching because, unlike a normal job, every day is different and filled with surprises. “The best part of teaching at Immanuel is being able to share Jesus,” says Mrs. Vyhanek. The parents appreciate her creativity, her caring nature, and the way she loves their children.

Carol and her husband live in Des Plaines . They have two sons who also attended a Lutheran School .
